*If a guy knows that you like him dont they seem to take advantage of it? Cause to me when i seem to like a guy and he knows then he pretty much thinks that he has me and can keep me hanging but when i dont give him attention they start to come after me and try getting me? what the hell is that all about?

Yes this is a true statement to some extent. In most cases when a man knows that you like him. He does not have to go the extra mile to get you. He knows that you will make the first move, and he willing to make all the calls. However, when a man knows that you like him and you do not make any moves, do not go out of your way to make conversation, and totally ignore him. He will then want to know your story. He will make the first move, and he will be the aggressor.
Try not to reveal your interest to man. I mean do not be clingy, and overly attentive. Unless you know that he likes you, and the relationship can flourish.

Oh come on.. think about it. Do you not do this yourself towards men in some way? Do all people not take advantage of the affections of another? If you know a man fancies you then you know that you need to do very little to hang onto him. If you like a man & do not know if he fancies you, then you try a little harder. Same thing.

Does the guy know because you told him directly or otherwise displayed strong hints or because he "heard it through the grapevine"?

Either ask him out or treat him simply as a friend. If you don't, you'll likely be seen as giving mixed signals. It never hurts for the girl to be aggressive... my wife was/is.
