The Following Documents re Required If You Are Driving Frm Dubai To Muscat:
1) GCC Country Residence Visa Valid For 6 Months
2) Valid GCC Country Driving License
3) Omani Visa can be obtained @ the border or from the Omani Consulate in Bur Dubai.
4) Valid Passport (any nationality) but should be valid for 6 months.

You need to go through Hatta road,,near Hatta fort Hotel, you need to stamp your passport at the immigration office there, you can ask any one there to tell you the place. then you cross hatta towards Oman 5Kms you find the Omani Immigration ,, you get the visa 37 Dhs per passport, insure your car about 100Dhs. then you go to Oman,, the main thing you need to remember that you should have your residency visa valid at least for three months to come... have a safe trip,, enjoy Oman its a lovely country,, but don't wear shorts there they will look at you as a sex object

yes u have to be a resident of gulf country with valid visa for 6 mts and of course valid pasport
visa is required and will be issued at the border after payment of required fees.

You should have a valid UAE residence visa. If you are driving yourself, then obtain a NOC/road permit from Dubai Traffic department.
