All you lose is water weight. If you usually eat 1,800 calories a day, in two days you would eat 3,600 calories, and 3,500 calories is a pound. But, if you don't eat for two days, you lose muscle, not fat. That's not what you want. If you only need to lose a pound, then you're the only one who would notice, anyway, so don't worry about it.
