try Hotel 81. we've got many of them scattered around all over the island and it is relatively cheap. seriously, most hotels are jam packed this season so good luck to you. oh. if you don't mind the location, i heard the hotel at changi is pretty good yet cheap.

for cheap hotel in town, try Hotel 81 at Bencoolen, Oxford Hotel (bras basah) or Summerview Hotel (bugis). But you might have better luck with those budget one at newton, little india or geylang area, since it's Christmas... check out asiarooms for more choices

Go for budget hotels, especially at "Geylang" and "Joo Chiat" areas because over there many available and you also don't want to spent money. Thus, very suitable in your case. Please don't try other place as it is a peak period.
