Thanx ! When checking the dipstick it was way past the XXX's. The car just stopped on my way home from work. It was reving up so loud like a race car.I had to floor it just to get it to go. Then i went to climb the hill by my house and when pressin the gas to start up the hill all it did was rev up. So someone told me to pop off the hose that goes into the radiator from the transmission start the car and leak some fluid out that way. When I did this process nothing drained out. It won't go,or move in any gear. I wanted to thank u and Happy Holidays to you and your family!!!!!!

One more thing I wanted to mention to you before you start putting a lot of money into parts for this car....
If draining some of the tranny fluid doesn't correct your problem, have the tranny looked at by someone you trust. I hate to tell you this next part right before Christmas--but Ford had some real issues with the late 80's early 90's transmissions.
I had 2 Fords in that era that had a shelled transmission. It was cost prohibitive to replace, as neither car was worth as much as the new tranny.
I hope this isn't the case for you...but I just wanted to prepare you for what this problem could be.

I will echo MAAMU here. If the car doesn't move, the trans was probably shot BEFORE you added the extra fluid.
They have a very high failure rate. And, yes the cost of them IS prohibitive to replace or repair.
The only hope you have here is if there is a shop or mechanic you trust that might be able to locate a used unit from a wrecking yard.
As a general rule, they are guaranteed by the yard to work. There is no mileage or time. They just work, or they don't and they will trade for one that does. But that doesn't get the labor back for the extra R & R.
The problem here is that you get a pig-in-a-poke.
Sorry to not be able to offer something more hopeful, but, this is about all you get with the little economy cars from Ford.
