I just want to know how many actually do..The small things..The things that matter the most when you realize that your husband actually is listening to you..Oh and one more thing do you feel safe with your husband? Does he make you feel like he will protect you no matter what?

he never listens to me....especially the small things. I used to believe that he could protect me from anything...then he had a heart attack. Now I have to protect him.

2 things make it tough: volume and pitch.
Volume - by this I mean the sheer volume of words she can generate. Friggin incredible. All that research showing women say 3-5 times as many words in a day as a guy are off - it's more like 7 times as many. And you can't remember it all. This will come back to bite you in the a s s on a daily basis, but... what are you going to do? Memorize it all?
Pitch - recent studies show the pitch most women speak at sounds high, like a mosquito buzz to men. They literally stop hearing it after a while. It's just background noise.
So - women - fewer words and a lower tone when you want something important.

What did you say? I am blind and I can't read.
Men are great at multi-tasking. It might appear that they are not listening but actually we have heard every word. And yes, we can watch football and listen to our wives. Perfect example of this is the TV remote control. Why watch one channel when we can watch them all.
Women, on the other hand, do not multi-task. They cannot talk and hear at the same time. And contrary to most believe...they cannot watch Martha Stewart listen to their mother on the phone.

most of the husbands are a good listeners! but they dont show it. Ego problems. I feel they want the commanding position and dominance. Believe me, otherwise most of them listens to their wives and are attentive to her needs and respect.
May be you expect too much of him, or youre perspective of looking at him is chaneged off late!!!!
With him you are safe 100% as we all are. He will protect you no matter what.

Well if I answer this question personally then 1st of all I'm not married but engaged. My fiance is the sweetest guy on earth and I think if a guy loves u more than u love him he'll definitely listen to whatever u say and that's the case between us.
He makes me feel totally safe and it doesn't matter whether i am with him that particular moment or not coz he protects me even when i am alone.

well..I feel comfort in my husband being with me..feeling safe..feeling protected..I am sure he would if he needed to..
I know my husband listens to me, even the small things..I listen to him too...even the small things....we share alot of things..he is my best friend

I have a guy that listens, makes me feel important, makes me feel special and makes me feel good about myself and us. And yes, he makes me feel safer. In a few days he will be in a position to help me feel even safer.
