anesthesia and harvest their organs for donation to others, no state allows this to happen, do you think that this would be a good idea if we are going to continue to execute people

Some sins are unforgivable. If they act like they are beast and inhuman, why not giving them death penalty?
Social service? some people never change. Our history has proved that.
It is a great idea to harvest executed prisoners' organ, since the death penalty simply ends criminals life without solving the sins committed (such as killing peoples and so forth). But make sure their organs are in good states and not infected.

I don't know if I would like the idea of a murder's heart or kidney in my body... but then again, it's either life or death. I guess you can't look at it in that negative sort of way. As long as the prisoner's organ was healthy and would save life, I think it's a great idea. I'm also opposed to the death penalty (but then again, I haven't really put enough thought into it either) so if these people are going to be forced to die, might as well get any kind of good we can out of them....

I think maybe the decision should have something to do with the family of the prisoner as well.... but if someone murdered someone in my family, I wouldn't want that person to rest in peace in a grave somewhere either.... but like I said, I haven't fully thought how I feel about the whole thing through.

If the prisoner is executed by lethal injection, the toxins are absorbed into all of the transplantable organs. In Utah, where execution is by firing squad, condemned men have voluntary donated their eyes, and possibly other organs. The heart obviously is not suitable for transplant.
My own personal theory for a method of execution would be to force the condemned man to watch the entire Texans--Raiders game without commercial interruption. A slow painful death.

In Communist China they auction off the corpses before they make them kneel and shoot them in the back of the head with a .22 pistol.
Hitler and the Nazis used the prisoners in the camps for medical experiments.
Keep going, you will become true conservatives if you just try a little harder.

How much would you bid for the heart of an innocent man who was excecuted because the D.A. and Judge needed new Porsches.

It kind of puts even more of a twist onto the phrase "human resources."

Let them die as sentenced...we would be opening a whole different box of worms if we were to allow the harvesting of organs. How many people may be executed earlier than before. How many poor may be found guilty that were innocent?

They do that in China. In fact there have actually been Americans who have travelled to China to receive organ transplants from executed prisoners. Hey, it saved their lives...i really cant blame them. If i was in that situation, needed a transplant and had the money i would do it.

NO! I would hate to have someone take it upon themselves to lobby for more executions just to satisfy the need for organs. Soon we would start killing those of whom we think should die, who we already assume are worthless, for the sake of those we think deserve to live. It could potentially become a sci-fi nightmare.

Yes , i think it'll be a good idea. However, proper controls must be put in place to ensure that nobody can abuse the system

We should use them for medical experimentation. Thousands of lives could be saved if we could test anti-cancer drug cocktails on humans, and many more if we could practice actual surgeries in living human beings.

It'd be the only good they could do for their society.
