Someone tried this a few years ago and never saw Santa, and also didn't get any Christmas presents. Santa knows who camps out on roof tops watching for him and he's just too busy to deal with blackmail. I recommend against it. It's best to go to bed and leave Santa to his job and be happy with what he brings.

To blackmail someone you have to have information on them that would be damaging if you told somebody. Assuming you DO you'd still have to catch him and talk to him (dividing the number of presents by the time he has to deliver them you'd have about 0.00001 of a second), then he would STILL have to get the elves to work on your request (if THEY haven't left for the season). So no, I don't think it would be worthwhile.
