google map search?

has anyone used the google map search - it has a satellite feature which i think is really neat. how old are these shots?

some of them are quite old and some are very new depending on what earth shattering event has taken place in that part of the world or country .. New Orleans is all new but looking at our property one half is old and the other new at least six years old..
