$200 - $250 on my 17 month old daughter. She is getting many books, learning/developmental toys (one was $45 alone), a few plush items, and clothes. Gosh...I just added it up now. I didn't think that I spent that much. Eeekkk! Then again, books aren't cheap!

Too much! Why do I do this every year? The practical side of me says "they don't NEED it" but I always get so much. I stick to educational toys but it sure adds up. This year I bought a piano as a family gift so we're way over budget.

I have a 16 year old daughter and I spent around $500. Mainly on clothes and a pair of shoes and some perfume, expensive lip gloss and some computer software she wanted.

Her dad and I are divorced. He also spends $500 on her. He bought her speakers and stuff for her car, clothes, and something for her ipod.

As I write this, it sounds like she's a spoiled brat...but really she's not. I save all year to give her some nicer things at Christmas.
