XBOX 360, Playstation 3, or the Nintendo Wii? Please explain why you think one is better than the other.

Wii!! Love that it involves more movement and is more true to life. Also Zelda is the best logn running title ever. Playstation 3 sucks and Xbox is great, but I love the new-ness of the Wii and how different it is.

Power, processing, and potential wise the Playstation 3 is by far the best.
Selection of Games, and being established, the XBox 360 is the best, but PS3 will surpass the XBOX within 2 years in my opinion.
The Nintendo Wii is a toy and a fad, that is very popular for the market it was made for, and will be succesful in that regard, but it is not even close to the XBOX 360 or PS3

I reckon it depends on what kind of a person is buying the console...for example, if it is for senior folks aka senior citizens or kids I would certainly recommends Wii as it tends to simpler and has games which are more appealing to those audiences.
If it is for teenager or an young adult, I would certainly recommend either the 360 or the PS 3 as they tend to offer more complete/hardcore gaming experience.
Once you have the audience sorted out....then perhaps you might end up with the debate between PS3 and 360. At a broad level, PS3 and 360 have similar capabilities however I would suggest PS3 if the cost is not a factor (360 is certainly cheaper than PS3). for the following reasons....
1) PS3 is a beast with a whole lot of power...it has a processor that is probably 3/4 times more powerful than 360, slowly but eventually the game developers will figure out how to exploit the power you will see stunning games...I checked out the console in canada...the graphics look stunning to say the least....compared to 360, I think PS3 has a lot more headroom for better graphics
2) PS3 is more or less a complete home entertainment system, with Sony making PS3 upgradeable I think you can expect more features to be made available especially in the home entertainment and network (aka community collaboration) space
3) PS3 offers an similar interface to PSP, apparently (this is a rumor) there is a broader initiative to have a pan sony device experience unification aka you could do similar things with their mobile phone, psp, PS and so on...

PREFER xbox 360 because it has more facilities than the other 2 & th xbox live is unbeatable & its cheaper

360. More available, less bugs, more games, best for the money, and nothing can beat xbox live. IMO.
