Just checking out the Men's Health section and it seems that we men are really obsess about our penis. Its measurements and function. Why is that? Why aren't we able to be happy with what we have and just deal with it. I think if we spend the same amount of time/energy that we do wondering about our penis, we could solve the energy crisis, build a colony on Mars AND eliminate poverty and most diseases in this world already.

Most men are obsessed with their penis. Some could just careless. I don't know about other people but I care but not to the point where I am asking questions about size or what ever. To me as long as it gets the job done then I an good with it. I agree with what you are saying. You can't change what you have. So just be happy with it.

Being the single most sensative part of the male anatomy, the penis is the first source of pleasurable feelings to touch from birth.
Males, during and following puberty, think about sex once ever 60 seconds, beleive it or not. Also the penis seems to have a biological mind of it's own and becomes erect on average, 5 times a day. Mostly during sleep in older males, but averages 12 times a day in puberty and until 22 years of age.
The penis is controlled by the endocines in the brain, barring any physical concerns. This in itself cannot be controlled mentally, but is only through arousal stimulators and / or the biological mechanism during REM sleep. Hence morning Woodies.
Not to put it to lightly, but it is just the hydraulic system and switches in the whole body that cause this.
No wonder then that males are very conscious of their penis and the feelings that come from it. Maybe not obsessed but certainly very aware of it at all times.

I think most men are obsessed [well, 'concerned' or ''interested' might be better words] in both their overall physical size and build, and the size of their penis, specifically.
That's largely because guys are more physical and visual than girls.
Nevertheless, you are probably right that if more of us were less obsessed with 'carnal' matters, we would have devoted more time and personal energy to other more productive matters; we probably would be a more advanced society with less health problems overall, I'm sure.

no youe the one thats obsessing over guys that obsess over their size. The only guys I hear about are the ones with small penises. and the girls that are fascinated by the bigger ones.
I have no problem with mine heck even if mine was 3 inches i would still have a tongue and 2 hands and so many toys to use how can a guy really feel insecure. its more they dont know how to make a girl come is the real problem here. and thats because girls dont know what they want. but learn to give it to a girl and it wont matter what size your penis is
And I say your about a year from coming out of the closet if you are not out already.

What's your problem? That's why there is a men's health section. Anyway, those are health issues and it's perfectly reasonable for people to want to take care of themselves and avoid disease. It IS just you. Some chicks might agree with you, but they obsess over their bodies too. Good night!

It's because of Western society, and the pressure it has inadvertantly put on men to be of a certain size. The rest of the world really doesn't give a hooey.
