A best friend is someone that is there for you no matter what. I had to learn the same thing. I used to have many friends to but I found out that my real friend was my friend that I knew since kindergarden. She never turned her back on me. When I needed her.A true friend is a person that will never turn there back on you. Trust and believe when you need that person they will be there . Just keep in mind you can tell who is a true friend by the look in there eyes.

Best friends... you don't even need to ask. You just know. You can call him or her up at like 3 am, you could just take some of his or her stuff and know he/she won't mind. You can invite yourself over and know he/she won't mind that either. You could talk to him/her anytime, bother him/her with your latest shallow crisis and know it's fine. Basically, it's an understanding. No boundaries. No discomfort. No wondering if something is an invasion of privacy. No hesitation. No second guession. Because that person and you are attached.

for me, a true friend is that one who picks up my calls, even at 2 in the morning; and then listens to my problems and comforts me even as s/he is having his/her own episodes; never materialistic; the one who knows our family (and us know his/her family)and able to mingle with them well; the one who you can trust with secrets and ideas..
I had a true friend. She died last year this month. Half of my soul died with her. May God bless her soul.

its simple. a true friend is the one who kisses you when you are right and kicks you when you are wrong. he gives you a right and frank suggestion though he knows that it may hurt you. he always encourages you to do only the right thing and warns you when you are on a wrong side.
