haha this sounds crazy but i think this is some kind of special formation... i mean 3-6-1!

3 defenders---> rio ferdinand, john terry, ashley cole
( coz any other defenders are not as good as them, 1 john terry is actually 2 defenders, he's just good)
substitute --gary neville

6 midfielders---> frank lampard, steven gerrard, joe cole, owen hargreaves, theo walcott ( he's sort of working magic with @ arsenal now) & aaron lennon
( loads of very good midfielders means the ball will get stuck in the middle no matter wad plus even if it does slide pass all 6 of them, there're the superb defenders)
substitute--michael carrick

1 striker----> wayne rooney
( all the other strikers are so crap u can't really imagine them playing & wasting space & time, crouch runs too slow, defoe too inaccurate, owen is just dead & rotten, then there're also alot of support from 6... 6 midfielders)
substitute--- peter crouch

make sense???
haha pls give me ur oppinions

Good ideas way to think on it. Just remember formations are simply kick-off places to stand.
For example. How many on the back line when defending and on attack is really what is the form.
How many sent up to the set up area. That is the form. You have a good idea with the 6 in the midfield. Making them more flexible is your strong point.
In Shoot magazine Eric Harrison does some of these same articles check it out sometime. I have been looking for some back issues to see what I have missed.
Good work!

Nope, makes no sense whatsoever.
Wayne Rooney can't play alone up front as was proven during the world cup
Terry is only 1 defender actually, and If you were to play 3 at the back you would go for 3 CB, not 2 cb and 1 LB.
I reckon
Robinson
Neville-Ferdinand-Terry-Cole
Lennon - Gerrard-Hargreaves-Cole
Rooney - Johnson

first of all...england need a right-back..neville that is..
so 4-5-1 would be better...
lampard and joe cole are of same type..you cant play them together along with theo walcott..he is a striker..
6 midfielders but only one defending midfielder ?? only owen ?? and you are taling about having only 3 defenders :p lol..defence is weak bro...for your formation..3-6-1

HaHa no longer a bad Formation pal. i think of that walcott in midfield is an extremely reliable thought as he's readily and has an extremely precise shot yet no longer that reliable interior the air. he's no longer that reliable yet has a useful shot. Who may be the keeper??? Robinson... i could say david james... alot extra powerful basically watch him play for portsmouth 1st class.. great formation pal digital mail steve mcclaren lol. Peace out merry yule persons

for me the best is 4-1-2-1-2 (almost 4-4-2)

4 defenders, 1 CDM, 2 midfielders, 1 CAM, 2 strikers

you have too many midfielders, make it at least 3-5-2

this formation sucks (no offence), 3 defenders can't handle it, i would say if it was 4-4-2 or 4-3-3 it would be much more better, and the only "good" striker (wayne rooney) he sucks, he doesn't play well or even fair...england is nothing, and i mean NOTHING without Beckham and Michael Owen.
i loved the Croatia vs. England match...it was sooo funny, and Robinson (the goalkeeper) is sooooo stupid!
