According to wikipedia plutonium can keep your mug warm, and even boil coffee-
"The heat given off by alpha particle emission makes plutonium warm to the touch in reasonable quantities; larger amounts can boil water."
But as others said, it can kill you.
The alpha radiation won't penetrate your skin, but it's as toxic as lead and flammable.
Maybe if it's properly encased you can make an "ever hot" (almost forever, the half life depends on the isotope..) nuclear powered coffee heater..

The radioactivity would produce a warming effect though probably not enough to keep it truly warm. Since plutonium is very dense it would be a heavy cup to lift and the small amount of plutonium that dissolved from the cup into your coffee would make it highly poisonous to drink!

You might find that the amount of plutonium needed would make for a very heavy mug. You would also want to make sure that several of these mugs didn't get too close together. Otherwise you might start a chain reaction which if it didn't cause an explosion, might cause a meltdown.

Yes. If enough plutonium were used, you could keep a cup of coffee warm with it. I advise against it though.

The thermos mugs are regularly rather sturdy for keeping your coffee heat yet once you quite prefer it for an extremely long term then you would seem at one which actually comes with a plug in warmer. the hotter plugs in on your lighter on your motor vehicle and cup that incorporates it seals up. they're lot greater money then the in many situations occurring thermos variety mugs in spite of the indisputable fact that that is all what you like.

lol. I don't think that's a very good idea. Probably a little too warm.
