Im 14 years old and I REALLY want to enter into acting. Like movie acting or tv show acting. The problem is I live in a town where there are movies filmed in it every now often but not usually..and I live pretty far from California (I live in Washington State). Any suggestions on what I should do???

This is seriously what I want to do right now..I've seen a lot of movies and I really want to act.

Pleaseeee help.

Break into the arena by getting in with an extra agency, they'll give you a few jobs.. Not great work but a step into the business, Get a resume together and a headshot,.. Pay for one, your look is what matters... After you get a resume of your extra roles you might land an agent, if they make you pay to be apart of there aggency they aren't a correct agency.. A real agency will take a percent of your pay.. Make sure you keep acting, taking any courses you can get.. Get all the experience you can get.. And make sure you're not doing acting for the fame, but because you love it.. It can be a tough business and bruttle at times,, but you gotta love it and not care if you get onto the cover of people, and trust me chances are you won't.. You might land a lucky break but othe than that chances are pretyt slim.

Good-luck and I hope you get into the business!
Merry christmas!!

* Start with opportunities near you that will give you experience in performance or even production. Is there a local theatre or comedy group you can join? Any local auditions? See also: http://www.craigslist.org

* Is there a local writer's or playwright group? Or local radio station that is open to radio theatre spots? Some writers or theatres organize live readings of their work, so you can get experience by participating this way.

* Network with anybody in acting or comedy classes, theatre or music school departments, or professional agencies, even modeling. Some churches even have a theatre or music ministry, or youth group that may have access to resources.

* If you are interested in writing, can you write and shoot your own short film? Are there other students interested in movies or production? If so, can you ask your school to start your own club for producing your own work and/or pursuing professional acting?

Research, take classes, get involved in local theater. Pad your resume before you try to make it big. When you get older, travel to New York or Cali. and see if you can get any sort of work in acting. Don't shoot for movies or TV right away, work your way up there, that way you are more prepared and you already have a reputation so people know your name.

With your age being so young, your choices are limited. Stick to your local area for now, get into drama at school and check around you hometown for local productions. Master your craft and when you hit that right age and the passion is still there make your way to california. If you want it this much, work at it and you will make your impact when the time is right.Just never give up.

Take acting lessons in the city where you live. Ask your parents to help you find an acting teacher or school.
