i'm taking ap english and ap calculus this year

i took 2 trimesters of honors english freshman year but i switched out 3rd trimester

You'll do fine. Western is a little easier to get into, but the classes are smaller, there is an excellent faculty and the quality of your education will be great. UW is also a phenomenal school, but it's reputation makes for a tougher time getting in. With your scores, though, I'd apply to both. Who knows? Maybe it will be a choice of whether you prefer living in Seattle or B'ham! Good luck.

I'd say you stand an excellent chance at any State school. Apply to both and you should be able to take your pick.
