I've been looking everywhere to find where baseball card shops and card suppliers get their cases of hobby boxes, etc for their inventory, but I can't seem to find the source. Like any other product I'd assume they buy it in bulk from a factory or wholesaler, but I don't know the specifics.

baseball card companies are tight leashed.. I have been running an online store for years and to get any of the card companies to sell to you is next to impossible unless you are a brick and mortar store with a front... Most will even make you prove it... There are other places to get after market card but with the on set of the insert.. It is a protected process.. Botom line is they come directly from companies like Upperdeck...

Garacious is right, but they also buy alot of them on ebay. In fact when I used to do a lot of collecting baseball cards I had been going to some stores and one of them told me that... and I tried buying a 1000 mint card pack on ebay and that was great.

The new ones they buy from suppliers. They buy used from individuals, auctions, estates, and special suppliers that deal in them.
