Im just wondering what the difference is because flash is a lot more expensive so why is that?

The flash card is a small memory card (basically a circuit board with memory chips on it) and an interface that plugs into a slot in the camera.

The USB memory card is similar, but uses the camera's USB port. These cards use older, larger chips for the same memory content, so are less expensive. They are also much less convenient.

Most people pay the premium for the convenience of a camera that is just like a film SLR, but without the film.

The alternative, using USB (and assuming you can get away with just USB, which I've never seen) is that you'll have a cable and or 'card' hanging off your SLR camera.
