Indian Female Singers

I had to listen to indian music at work. I understand the adherence to tradition, but it's all pretty much the same. In singing style and music. Kinda like country music here. Same sound cliches. Indian women sing in a high nasily pitch. The only way i could tell that a new song had come on wad because of the pause or brrak between songs.

It is not your Western ears. Most music you hear in Bollywood movies is done with voice overs, and they often use the same female singer.

Your Western ears. We get used to hearing certain sounds, and that gets solidified as we get older. There are certain languages that Westerners have lots of difficulty learning because they rely on tonal differences that we can't hear. It's not because we're dumb or lazy; our ears just aren't used to it.

If you continue to listen to Indian music, you'll get better at distinguishing the singers. You just need to learn to do it, and I'm guessing you didn't have much exposure growing up, so you didn't learn it then.

its the same. when indians or anyone listens to western singers they all sound the same too. no offence. its a cultural thing. but as of now there are no really good female vocalists in india.
if your listening to music by indians living abroad then please do not form your opinion on the basis of that. if not then..

Singing is something that everybody can learn and improve. Of course, some are more naturally skilled than others, but even a poor voice can be overcome by dedication, practice, and more practice. Even if you're content to sing in the shower, there are some things you can do to improve your voice. This is probably the best online course to improve your singing skills https://tr.im/WmU1E

They all sound the same because there is only one singer who goes from label to label. Actually, they are different, but there is only one song played over and over
