Yes- I eat alone in restaurants sometimes when I just need to be left alone. I bring some paper, and draw, or read a book.

Sure (many business travelers eat by themselves all the time). Take a book, ask for a table against the back or side wall, and people watch. And if you are an extrovert like me, strike up a conversation with the person(s) at the next table! I've met lots of interesting people this way, all over the world.

I have done it. At some places, they have bars where you can eat a full meal which is wonderful. I have sat at a table alone, but I always have something to read. I prefer eating with friends, but a few times, I have dined alone. Not bad, but not great either.

I like to eat at the bar if I'm eating by myself. That way I don't feel awkward sitting by myself and I can engage someone in conversation, watch a little TV, or even read the newspaper. Who knows, you might even make a new friend.

No. I would have to request take-out. I believe eating in a restaurant should be a social event. The stares of the other guests or people coming over asking "is this seat taken?" would just bother me!

you could as long as you got money to pay for the dinner. If I was really hungry I guess I would eat alone, but I prefer to have someone with me, it seems more enjoyable.

Why could you not???? Would you be embarrassed of what people think.... "Silly" Are you not comfortable being by yourself??? Must there be another to "validate" your existence or the fact that you ate??? My answer is most certainly YES! I enjoy time alone for quiet contemplation and relaxation. Being alone in any situation is not that bad if you are comfortable and confident with yourself.....Just a thought......Peace......

I understand I hate eating on my own in a cafe. regardless of if the nutrients is sturdy, i can come out being depressed. If I do flow out then, i attempt to decide on a cafe with a bar. i be attentive to a cafe with a bar , you will discover the nutrients being cooked in front of you, it somewhat is oftentimes relaxing. the difficulty is that i think of many eating places do no longer desire to be sure single human beings in the placement, you're doubtlessly dropping a chair. I notice waiters spending greater time with a pair than single human beings in thought that is going to be the opposite.

yes, i have worked in a restaurant before and a couple people would come in by themselves. especially during lunch hours if their work was near by, they would get some lunch by themselves. i would feel bad cause they are alone, but sometimes people like the peace and quiet.
