I do not push my intelligence AT people, showig off. I try to make poeple feel admired and that I can be trusted, and let them relax. They find out gradually, and, like one person said, the respond by indirect nastiness & treachery.I MAY , true, need to pray to my dead mother about it : she'd probably be halpful; you're right there, responder.But , and I may be vaunting my so-called- superior-intelligence now, but I think it is extremely naive to tell a person you've never mt once that you KNOW them to be an "asshole".....Howver, you are entitled to your own opinions, however swiftly you may rush to them.

Less intelligent people sometimes have difficulty even recognizing intelligence when they see it. If they do recognize it, they belittle it as a defense mechanism. They try to feel superior by acting like you're inferior because they can't bear to admit there are people more intelligent than they are.

Well some smart people do flaunt and can make people feel stupid. So your main problem lies in sterotyping. Obviously these people feel that you being smart makes them some how less so having low self esteem is another factor.
If people are willing to start something over it then just understand that it's their issue not yours.
Of course I'm sure you knew this since your so smart and all. Sorry I have a smart *** and I just wanted to flaunt it hehe.

No one likes a show off, or braggart. You are probably very intelligent but in the inter um people feel put down and inferior as a result of your trying to impress them. No one likes to feel dumb. Cool it.

It happens to me all the time. When people know your intelligent. They try to humble you by putting you down. They normally assume that you think of yourself as all that. Since they themselves think in that way. People always like to make themselves feel better by putting others down. It's unfortunate that a lot of people don't know this verse, those who exalt themselves will be humbled, those who humble themselves will be exalted. BTW do you believe in necromancy.

People like that are just projecting THEIR self-image onto you; by tearing you down, they can feel they're not that far beneath you. Don't sweat it, it's a twisted compliment!
