Hey, I would love to work in the magazine industry as well, but I really don't know how to go about and I think my calling is with School Psychology and animals.

Anyways, I was just going to say that you should post this question in the Higher Education topic under Education and Reference. Everyone is always asking about how to get into a certain career and maybe someone on that will know something more.

Have a good night!

While in college take as many english classes as possible. Journalism is a good way to start exploring the possibles. If at all possible become a freelance writer (some companies pay for your work if it's used and some don't)
and get the experience on writing different stories. If you like you can contact me via email and we can discuss some of the issues involved.

You may want to start we a degree in english and writting.

Just a warning some of these jobs are starting to be out sourced to India.

Personally the only jobs that are safe from being out sorced are ones that require actual phyical work at a site here in the US.

Although if nobody has money because their job was out sourced they won't be calling on you for your service.

The only people that will never lose their jobs are the senators and represenatives on the state & federal level.

Other than that NO job is 100% safe from either out sourcing of the effects of out sourcing.

i think we are all in alot of trouble when it comes it jobs.

Internships matter more than what you study. That's where you'll make contacts. Find a magazine near your college and they probably have an internship where you'll learn factchecking, editing, departmental writing, etc.
