Every single girl has at one time or another sat by the phone waiting for it to ring. I've definitely sat by the phone, staring at it, and once in a while pick it up to make sure that it's working.

I cant say I have SAT by the phone and waited...I hate waiting...like I hate lines....I usually need to go DO things, get involved, or get things done ..... but ... I guess even now I am waiting for someone to email me at some point ... she wont but I still look for it.

I want to miss their call so I don't look desperate, so I put it on silent away from me. It doesn't stop me from looking at the phone every once in awhile to see if he called.
However... I haven't done that in months! YAY. It's great being single sometimes, isn't it? No guy drama, what could be better? Well maybe being in love, but sometimes you gotta pick and choose for the better.

i have before but that was a long time ago back before cell phones where an everyday item. nowadays if im expecting a call and am very anxious about it i might tend to keep my cell in my hand or very near by but theres really no need to "sit by the phone" awaiting a call.

I'd say that just about everyone has at some time. That doesn't necessarily mean that it was from a romantic interest, though. It could have had something to do with a job or a reply over something else.

Yes, there was a guy whom i met in the phone. He used to call random numbers and talk with ppl. He had a nice voice and i liked to talk with him very much. I asked for his number but he didnt give me. So, i had to wait for his call. I used to cry on the days when he didnt call me. But i didnt like him when I saw him and wasnt interested in him anymore.

Yes, when people say they are going to call I will sometimes wait with the phone in my hand saying "Ring!" over and over until it finally does.
