Every station and every state has different rules and laws pretaining to what can be shown on TV. In Toront WWE/ECW are shown on a diiferent station than in the states and other Canadian Cities. So what those stations will allow or our provinces is different from yours. Look at TBS they will take a movie like Brave Heart, show all the violence but cut out any nudity or swearing. But then they'll show pulp fiction and won't even show a guy get shot. Then Spykke TV shows absolutly everything...
IT all comes down to area you live and station showing it...

Although the FCC has rules, each different station has different standards.
Comedy Central drops the F-Bomb after 1 am during their secret stash shows, but even though they say it is unedited, you won't any nudity. (I was very disappointed in Fast Time at Ridgemont High during the infamous Phoebe Cates getting out of the pool scene)
Also, how the words are used makes a difference. A** won't get bleeped on a show, but if they say A**hole on the same show 10 minutes later, it will get bleeped.
Basically, the people in charge of this country love censoring our freedom of speech.

That's because WWE wants to keep its "wholesome" image in the entertainment industry. They try to sort out those stuff because they already have enough cases for cutting themselves. They're just trying to save money, that's all. I don't know if it's still on but, they have AM Raw which is aired about 1am and contains every single bit of the show(except the off-air bits and WWE.com exclusives).

human beings regularly settle for greater offensive and inappopriate concerns while it quite is provided in a comedic mindset. further greater, comedy channels are regularly for the greater mature/older objective industry, and the wrestling/violence has a concentration between the greater youthful/teen objective industry (that's very ironic). i assume those may be the only justifications: no longer all issues could be defined..

If it's something going out over the air, the FCC rules apply, but on cable they don't apply.
