Get at least 512mb Ram, and a video optimizer card. Also clean up the hard driver by right clicking and erase the junk and disk defragment

You would be better off replacing it if you can. The cheapest option is to reload the computer (if it has been a few years). Adding memory will help. You can also put in a new hard drive if yours is several years old then a new drive will generally be a fair bit faster. But, the smart money is on a new computer. If cash is scarce, buy the cheapest Dell you can find (maybe $400) and you'll still have a faster computer. Dell also has some inexpensive refurbished computer that come with a fresh load and a limited warranty. Check their website.
