When i deal with my OUTLAWS i just am always honest which usually makes them mad at me & they try to cause trouble between me & my husband. The best thing to do is let them know from the start that you aren't going to take any crap from them. If you start being nice they may take advantage of your kindness. If they start to tell you have to live your life let them know in a NICE way that you will listen to what they say & take it into consideration but it doesn't mean you will follow through with it.

. the best way is to move somewhere in your own space so you won't have to sound mean are disrespectful. you can also go up to them and tell them that you have a problem or go to a counseling place so they can help you with your problems. this is the best way to solve a problem

Just visit them a lot around dinner time without letting them know that you are coming over. Go as much to their house as possible, eventually you are going to get on their nerves. You sure would be getting on mine.
