Ha ha!! Yes, there is a little button that the door pushes when you close it. You can put your finger on it and prove to yourself that the light really does go off!!!

yes, there is a switch that turns the light off when pressure is applied to it, much like your car door. Either way, the power usage wont amount to nearly as much as the fridge running cost if it did stay on!

I wanted to know if the light in the trunk of my Jaguar was draining my battery. I put a thermometer by the bulb and closed the trunk lid. In ten minutes or so i opened the truck and quickly read the thermometer. If this is an obsession of yours, try this.

yes it does theres a rocker switch up on top and when u close the door it hits that switch and turns the light off .

it does, try openign it little by little to the point where the light turns off and you'll see. ;-)
