what should i expect on a greyhound bus trip 4-5 hrs long?

i have never traveled this way, do you have any advice? anything at all?

Bring a good book, pillow and some ear phones. Try and sit near the front of the bus if you can. You could also get a cd that's a book someone reads to you. This will pass the time away too. Good luck...depending upon where you are coming and going from, will depend upon the stops and how many people will be on your bus. I know the trip through Vt, the bus is only about 1/2 full, so you get a whole seat to yourself.

The smell can be unbearable. Also, some operators will require you to get off at every pit stop (Gas and Bathroom breaks). My husband took the Greyhound from Atlanta to NJ and they made everybody in the bus get off at least four times.

BAD SMELLS avoid the back of the bus at all cost bring some music to listen to and put your head phones asap before some annoying person starts talking to you the whole entire way.

a long bus ride.. they might stop along the way for a bathroom break at mc donalds and you can probably buy something to eat.
