I work a lot and attend school, but I find myself very exhausted and not enough time for sleep. Is there something I can take to give me more energy that's safe?

I suffer from chronic fatigue syndrome and the only thing that has worked for me is Provigil. But it is a prescription medication and it has only been around since '98 so they probably really don't know how safe it is.
In 5 months, I have had no problems at all with it.

Talk to your doctor maybe he can give you some adderall or some kind of prescription for narcolepsy if you are always tired that may be what you have ??? If you dont think you have a sleeping problem besides not getting enough of it maybe you need to take some time for yourself and sleep a few hours between work and school. do you have adult adhd?? if so they usually put you on prescription amphetamines if you do have this problem either narcolepsy or ADHD (adult ADHD). If you are young, you should have plenty of energy or you arent eating right maybe some vitamins and fruit for snacks would be something to try before asking the doc for drugs. if you are that tired and you are young then maybe you have a sleep disorder and not know it. you can look up these disorders on Web MD, that is the website I swear by. It has so much detailed information. So look up those disorders and see if they sound like you. Ephedrine is not the answer to wake you up though dont eat those things. they are bad for you. i would rather see someone go get a prescription of something to help with their sleepiness rather than eating those ephedrine. I hope it gets better.

Most energy pills give you a fast boost followed by a crash. Nutritional supplements have a better record. I like Advanced Cell Therapy. (ACT) The first time I took it, I was good for about 2 days no problem. I also got my first good night's sleep in a long time. Try it if you like.

Yes! Of course sleep is the best, but sometimes life doesn't work that way. Eat right, drink lots of water and take a good vitamin with lots of antioxidants in it. It will help, trust me, I have been going Thur something very similar. Listen to your body and sleep when you can.
