The ESP LTD should be a great metal guitar. With the EMG 81/60 set, its the best crunch noise! Try it out and see!
don't get the epi. its bad.

Well I don't play guitar but my guy friend has both a Les Paul and an Epiphone. He likes the sound of the Les Paul but it is considerably heavy and can be a pain in the *** to carry when you play. But he likes the Epiphone better because its has a better tune, its light, and the guitar curve is small so that you can play the higher notes.

I know the Epiphone costs a good 400$ but any guitar is expensive these days.

Me personally have fallen in love with my Ibanez RG450. I am not sure of the pick-ups are in it, something like Infinity. But the more pick-ups the better. Take a look around, I found some good deals at www.Zzounds.com. There are tons of sweat guitars out there.
