I've never actually played it before. I've heard its really good and I just bought a PS2 (not really sure why I waited till now...) so I thought I'd try some of the classic great games that you can't afford to miss. I'd also appreciate a couple of suggestions on other games to try but I'd just mainly like to find somewhere to buy FF7. I can't seem tp fond a store nearby selling PSone games and any searches online just get results dealing with FF7: Advent Children, or FF7: Dirge of Cerberus. Anyway IF you actually read through all these additional details: Congrats! Your attention span is about 50 times better than mine! Anyway please help.

I have boht kingdom hearts games and I really liked them. Reagrdless of the fact that it mixes final fnatasy characters and disney charecters, It was made really well (even though some of the times when sora is preaching about how his heart is strong because of his firends of something gets annoying fast). anyway.... I've decided to let the decision of the best answer go to the voters. Thanks for all the help!

Ebay will be your best friend when it comes to finding rare, out of production games.

If you are looking for other games similar to FF7...if you want to stay in the Final Fantasy series, I honestly enjoyed FF8 the best. Alot more mature and serious themes to it, not all cute and bright colors everywhere and whatever like most of the other games in the series.

Another game series I enjoy is Star Ocean. There are 3 games in the series, Im pretty sure they are not connected through their story though, so you can play them in any order. The most recent one, "Star Ocean 3: Till the end of Time" was my favorite but it is an extremely long game, taking at least 80 hours to complete the game, and that is a quick run through without any of the sidequests. I remember hearing people claim upwards of 120 hours with all the side dungeons and everything.

Ive heard all my friends say great things about the Kingdom Hearts series but I dont think I could really take a game seriously that mixes the final fantasy series with Disney cartoon characters.

heres a link to a artical i found not to long ago its about a month or two old and it tells some things about mayb possibly a remake for the mid 2012 but to be honest if they are remaking it might be a lil longer just because they dont have enough people on the team to give a proper remake the director of XIII said he has heard the fans request and would love to remake it also in my opinion i think they should wait to remake it just cause theres (alot of projects there currently working on and that takes alot of time and effort not to mention the up coming games ) im just askin..wouldnt u want a great proper remake or have a over rushed put together game cause they didnt have enough time and the right team to remake it ??

From a friend who works at Gamestop, go to Ebay, you should find it and maybe cheaper than you will get it at a store that sells used games. with high demand and low supply the price goes up, so it can be as much or more then it was new now.

It's a classic, kind of like a simplified version of Final Fantasy VI with PlayStation style graphics.

"Xenogears" is good too.

"Star Ocean 3: Till the end of Time" is kind of like a Star Ocean game mixed with "Xenogears" and "Final Fantasy VII".

You really have quite a few options. you can try Gamestop, (The store or website) E Bay is always a choice that will work. or if you are wanting to try it before to see if you like it or even to buy if gamefly. (www.gamefly.com) That one is probably the best site to get descritptions of games to see if they tickle your fancy.

Most stores won't advertise selling old PlayStation games, but some might have them used, or you can always check eBay or garage sales, or see if you can get it off of a friend for cheap.
