Does anybody know how to catch any rare Pokemon in Pokemon Fire Red?

I find it really agonising when people say that to catch so and so u have to restart the game. So will some blessed sole please help me out and give me some hints on how to catch some rare pokemon.

It depends on what you want to catch and what your definition or rare is. If you want once in a lifetime catches, you should know about Moltres and all them, but other than that, just walking around a lot and waiting to see if you find anything you hardly ever see is all you can do. The only reason you would need to restart to get something rare is if you already killed it and didn't save right before engaging it. Happy hunting!

By the way, that glitch (above) might have worked in the previous ones, but I wouldn't try it with this newer one. Go get Red or Blue for glitch-tastic fun (like all the master balls you could want).

Rare pokemon, do you mean not the legendaries? Here's a few:

+Pikachu-(5% in viridian forest, powerplant common)
+Clefairy-(1%-6% in Mt. Moon, buy in celadon)


The key is pacience and a lot of battles and walking) Always carry extra pokeballs, great balls etc depending on what point you are in the game.

i beileve there is a glitch in the game where you can duplicate items, you place 2 pokemon with any two items you want and put them in any box but box 6 (very important) then change boxes to box 6, as it says SAVING DO NOT TURN OFF POWER turn the game off (make sure the entire message is visable) when you start up the game the two pokemon you put in the box should be in your party, cheak the box and they should be there too! you got a duplicate! im not sure where to do this in fire red version but in crystal i got like 10 master balls to catch all those hard legendary pokemon like ho-oh. so if you have the master ball, DUPLICATE IT! but becarfull, after a while my pokemon got question marks as their name and started to bug the game. youll need to change the pokemon you duplicate so it wont ruin the game completly.

i and i own the game im like a master. the secret is timer balls it is the key. if u are really into the game u shoud know if u want to catch mewtwo u have to beat the elite 4.
