On Wednesday, the families of the two men still missing asked the resuers to call off the search (rather than continuing on, risking their own lives). But due to a break in the weather, teams went back out on Thursday, hoping against hope. At this point the two men are presumed dead, and while smaller teams are still searching for the bodies (or were as of Friday), it is quite possible that they will not be found until the thaw.
Tragic situation, but hikers know of these risks when they set out on these adventures. It is very difficult to prepare for truly crummy weather. I feel for the friends and families, may they find peace.

LOL @ the poster who said they'll start looking in the Spring. that's so morbid, but kind of funny at the same time.
Last I heard, it would be Tuesday before they could get a helicopter up again to look for them. I think this was yesterday that I read that?
They found one man dead in an ice cave; I'm thinking they're assuming the others are long gone also.

They gave up. They may look periodically on nice days but the plan right now is to find them in the Spring.

They did not find them alive. Now they are looking for bodies as weather permits.
