Where can I buy 50 5-gallon buckets w/ lids and handles?? I need them pretty soon, so if anyone could possibly point me in the right direction to get some, or even a phone number to call I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

Good luck.

I don't think you get the lids at lowes or home depot. But look in the yellow pages under chemical supplies. Find a small time supplier. They stock five gallon buckets to break down big lots and into smaller lots for resell. They might sell or direct you to a bucket supplier.

Yep,
I agree with "pipedream".
Besides bakeries, try also any fast food place that sells like hot dogs or ice cream places.
All these places usually get pickles, berry toppings, frostings, shortenings, and regular restaurants may get pasturized eggs and such.
Plus you know where else? GARAGE SALES! I got 20 buckets a few years back for 5 bucks, the guys was cleaning out his garage, and I was grateful to give him the 5 bucks.

Try calling ahaed a some places near you, they may even save them for you, as long as you promise to pick them up.
If it's a business, try to make a little something of a purchase to show the owner a gesture of appreciation.

And/or give this site a look :http://www.usplastic.com/catalog/product.asp?catalog_name=USPlastic&category_name=20327&product_id=26588&utm_id=20&utm_term=roundbuckets&cookie%5Ftest=1

I'm not sure you can get lids at Home Depot. Kelly Moore Paint has 'em. BUt, there are so many painters trying to give these things away it seems a pity to pay for them...

Check with a drywall contractor. The joint mud is easy to clean off by soaking in water.

If you want virgin buckets, be prepared to shell out some $$, local chemical companies would be a great place to start.

I do believe wal-mart has 5 gallon pals in their panting department or at least they used to back in the day. I know for sure Fleet farm sells them as well.

Check to see if you have an Army Surplus store around. They are normally half the price there.

Wow, my mom just got rid of about 100. She is moving and there a lot of "stuff" my dad collected over the years. One of his friends just came and got them.
I had to answer, we were just saying a couple of weeks ago "who would want these?"
