why do alot of women choose men that remind them of their fathers?

I haven't ever dated a man that reminded me of my father. If i found one i'd haul ***. He was a good father though.

I think it usually has to do with them having a happy childhood. They just want their kids to have the same; they also loved and admired the traits of their father, so they look for them in a man believing that's what makes a good man and husband. I guess it could also end up the opposite too, where they despised their fathers, so any of those qualities they find in someone they automatically dislike them no matter what that person does.

Most women end up choosing men who are like their fathers because that's what they're comfortable with. Even if your father has the most annoying habits, and you see them in your bf / husband, you will most likely still stay in the relationship because that's what you've known your whole life, so that's what you're comfortable with. I didn't see this in my baby's father until after he left. I saw that everything that annoyed me about him was something that my dad does that also annoys me, but I still loved him because that was what I had been around since I was born... making any sense?

lol thats how we were raised to believe that thats how a man should be. its comforting. (for most cases, if the father was a good one) hey, to be fair, men marry women like their mothers

I've noticed lately that I tend to do that, which is really odd because I can't stand my father. At the time I don't realize that I'm doing it.

They don't always...I married a man like my mother...(and no it wasn't a good choice...but I'm still with him, cause we get along. WAY better than I did with my mother, cause I can tell him off, without getting slapped)

A woman should look for a friend, not daddy. (but often women try to always please their fathers and that leads to pleasing a guy who's like daddy...)
