I don't think any Christian religion reflects the original ideals of Jesus Christ, since all try to explain why their interpretation of his teachings is better than all the others. Jesus was more concerned with teaching his followers than convincing them that everyone else was wrong.

> Tell me where to look...
This is an extremely dangerous form of thought... and cannot co-exist with...
> I'm not looking for a controversy,
Your whole question screams controversy... ~sigh~
From what you write, I don't think you're looking for the real Jesus at all... you cannot ignore his certain bouts of intolerance with the Fig Tree, the denial of his Mother, and inciting such statements to pit family member against family member. Keep in mind, God or not, he was bound to laws of human nature. A purest form of sense would also argue his possible involvement with some other questionable activities, and potential mental affliciton towards Schizophrenia. If you desregard these things, you're definitely not looking for the real Jesus... and you would be better off sitting in a Baptist Sunday School.
How open of a mind are you willing to regard for what Jesus and good portions of Bible may or may not really be? How blindly are you willing to overlook some of the severe and bewildering atrocities of denial, and outright wrath partaken by a God are you willing to consider but attempt to avoid in controversy.
I may not be a pastor, but I've seriously been backwards and forwards through a Bible in multiple contexts, studied good portions of all Christian Sects, and can without a shadow of doubt state, I am with the pastor on this one. Not a single Christian faith has it correct. For that matter, I don't think a single religion, or faith period has it correct.
However, and I am not a Mormon, but it can be argued that of the Christian choices... and I hate to say this, but the Mormon's have it closest. They are the only sect to use the Ezekiel reference to the resurrection. Now this is not to state that their doctrine doesn't collapse because they painted Christ as an independent God when they decided to rewrite 'the word was God' verse in John 1:1.
> The unfiltered Jesus with the love and tolerance, minus all the
> doctrine and dogma and intolerance.
Now you're definitely not looking for anything other than a pipe dream. Ignorance my friend may be bliss... but it doesn't make for looking for the truth as you say your looking for.
All I can positively offer... is Joshua 1:8... and state God is out there, but you won't get to God through any man...
Frankly, why do we need a man in between us and God? I find great comfort in Psalms, and try to actively follow in concordance with God. The problem with Joshua 1:8, when you really really study your Bible, you'll find some things in there that just don't sit well with the old gut, and get the mind spinning profusely to arrive where I am, around and around in circles...
It also helps if you find a bible that actually has a decent translation... I've yet to find one that I'd deem correct, and I don't even have to be able to read the scrolls to know, things are just a little too suggestive in areas to be anything other than mythically jaded or doctored.

I don't think there is a single Christian sect today that can claim to be presenting the original ideals of The Christ. Note that i say The Christ and not just Christ. There's a very big big and another big different the way you say it, and the way you say it says a lot about how much of the subject you comprehend. Unless there is a sect out there that can tell you and explain this to you they don't know what they are talking about. There is one known fact and that is, that Jesus said one thing in public and something else in private to his followers and not only that, he told them not to reveal what he told them im private clases. "Don't trow pearls to the pigs" should give you a sense of the futility of your surch through public Christian sects. Try to read something on Christian Mysticism. Louis C. de Saint-Martin, Thomas de Kempis, Blavastky, Eliphas Levis, H, Spencer Lewis, Boheme, Papus, The Pisti Sophia, Voltaire, is a very good start.

Jehovah's Witness'
It sounds to me you are looking for real truth. And never give that Up. The Bible shows us what kind of worship God approves and that is what really matters!
You need to look for 6 things.
*That they base their teachings on the bible. 2 Tim 3:16,17
*Worship only Jehovah and make his name known. Matt 4:10
*Show genuine love for one another. John 13:35
*accept Jesus as Gods means of Salvation. Acts 4:12
*Are no part of the world. John 18:36
*Preach God's Kingdom as man's only hope. Matt 24:14
Jehovah's Witness are world wide. And no matter where they are they all believe the same thing. Without the doctrine and Dogma. They only teach what the bible says.
I can tell you that Jehovah's Witness are the closest to original christianity But you will have to find out for your self. So Don't wait around Find out for your self ask for a free home bible study.

I would say Greek Orthodox or Zen Buddhism*. But organized religion is not the path you want to take to Christian idealism. Read the Bible and interpret it for yourself in a grand context. Everyone has a different story about what Christ "really meant" in his parables.
*Many similarities b/w Buddhism and true Christianity.

skinny approximately this one for a minute Ryan, all people on solutions is going to assert there sect is the closest to Christ's message, that's the reason there are maximum of sects first of all. all of them have stopped being Church's and at the instant are establishments, None are risk-free from corruption. in case you dig and do slightly learn you will discover dirt on all of them. detect a church you savour. study your Bible and stay for this reason. do no longer anticipate any church to evangelise the reality till the top of days that's.

Believe it or not "the Jews for Jesus" is the closest thing to his beliefs and that is appropriate since they practice his religion with the added scripture of the new testament and who better than they? And there are many converts to that organization as well.
They travel from city to city spreading the word of Christ, they have no ornate church and they pray naturally the way he did.
Look them up you will see they are the simplified of all. They are mainly like a branch of the deciples that were all Jewish as well. But there are many staunch Jewish converts as well as many Christians anywhere from Catholic to Jehovah's Witness.

As a Christian Pastor I must tell you that I, myself, have been unable to find a denomination or sect of Christianity that even remotely resembles the true teachings of Christ.
I have been able to find the true Jesus only in reading the Bible and studying ancient Jewish scripts.

Though I don't know what denomination could be considered the closest, I'll chime in to say small congregations are good for keeping it simple. Very little politics and tight-knit friendships.
Here in the south east, there are plenty of small churches, primarily Baptist.
Good luck with your search!

Tell me where to look !!!
Right inside you !!! That is the closest you can get to the real truth.
Because all that you can outside you, is camouflaged with the knowledge acquired by others. the uncontaminated truth is already engraved in you, so start looking inside with the guidance you can collect from the nature and contemplation on what you find.
