My son was born on november 8th 2006, and he's almost 2 months, I wanted to know if anyone has been in a same situation -
He drools alot
Fussy sometimes, even after changing diaper, and feeding, and comforting..gnawing on his hand..chewing his pacifier..
If anyone has been in a same situation please tell me about it. Or if you think he could be teething please tell me..

Drooling starts at two months for almost every baby. My son is 3.5 months old. He also started drooling at 2 months. It has to do with increased saliva and the baby not understanding the politeness of swollowing.
Quoting the source: "Your baby's salivary glands have been working since she was in utero, but you may notice that she's started to drool. She's also putting everything in her mouth and producing more saliva than she can swallow.
This doesn't mean that your baby's teething just yet, though — that probably won't happen for another two weeks, at least. The vast majority of babies sprout their first tooth between 4 and 7 months of age. If your baby's an early developer, you may see her first white cap, usually one of the bottom two middle teeth, as early as 3 months. (And in rare cases, a baby's first tooth is visible at birth!)
Many parents permanently affix a bib to their baby about now to catch the drool. Just remember to take it off when your baby sleeps to prevent strangulation.
The good news is that your baby's drool coats toys and other objects with disease-preventing proteins. That's fortunate — since she'll continue to explore anything she can get her hands on."

Mine did the same. He started teething around the end of his second month. Everybody even my own parents said it is not possible for the baby to teeth so early but it did happen.
Drooling a lot is also a sign of it. If he is really fussy then may be you can try this, it worked for my baby, there are some teether that you can get which has water like substance inside, refrigerate it for couple minute and give it to him. It cools his ripping gum and helps to fight off the pain for a little while.
My heart goes out to your boy. All the best

My baby was like that but didnt get her first tooth until 8 months.
The fact is that the teeth are forming and growing as soon as they come out of the womb. SO yes. It could be a bit of teething but don't expect to see a tooth any time soon.

Sounds like he could be, though that would be *extremely* early!
Suggestions that worked for me were cold teethers, frozen washcloths (may not work, the baby might not WANT to hold it b/c it's too cold), and something called Hyland's Teething Tablets. They have herbs to help soothe your baby and aid his teething, and let me tell you they are a GODSEND! Also talk to his pediatrician about the possibility of using infant ibuprofen to help w/ any swelling.
My son was grumpy for about a month before his teeth FINALLY cut through--it was a miserable time for everyone around him!

If he has a virus it is possible that he has a sore throat. That will make him fussy, drool a lot and possibly gnaw on things. It's not highly likely that its teething, but one of my kids was teething at two months, so it could happen.

I thought my kids were teething forever!! They did all the same things your son did, for months! They didnt get their first tooth until 9 months for one and 10 months for the other. Could be he teething, it takes a long time to get them teeth out!! Could be hes just amusing himself and discovering his hands, and how fun it is to use his gums. Hard to say, but if hes fussy, you could try baby oral jel and see if that eases it....look in his mouth and see if you see any signs of teeth about to poke through. Good luck to ya!

Yes it is possible. My first one gnawed from about 2 months until 5 months when the first tooth finally came through.

He certainly could be teething! My daughter started at just under 3 months, but my sister got her 1st tooth at 5 weeks! Could also be that he's hungry, do you breast or bottle feed? You might need to supplement your baby's food. To be safe see a pediatric nurse or doctor.

It sounds like he is teething. You know some babies are born with teeth so it is normal to be teething at 2 months.
Massage his gums with your finger. Also you can use Ora-gel for babies and it will numb his gums.
