Gmail doesn't have a folder option, but it has what are called labels which function similar to that of folders. Since Gmail works as threads of conversations, when you tag a particular mail with a label, the conversations will all be stored with that label. So, go to lables, create a new label and mark all the mails that you want to be with that label. After that, archive those mails so that they will be retrieved when you access that label.

You cannot make folders when using a Gmail account.
The designers of Gmail believe that using folders is not the best way to organise your email.
With folders, you can put away one mail in only one folder. Take the case of an email from a friend who is asking you about a business opportunity in your company. Now you may have a folder marked for all "Work" related mail and another for "Friends". Which folder will you put your friend's email in? Ideally it should be seen in both the folders.
So, in Gmail, instead of folders, you can use "labels". Labels are words you can assign to any email. Now, you can tag your friend's email with two labels: "friends" and "work".
Later, you can click on label "friends" or label "work" and see all emails that have been tagged with that label.
In this scenario, folders become unnecessary.

Dear ...:
I think that everybody has answered very good, so I only going to warn about something about folders (Labels in Gmail) in order you don't lose none mail. If you have a "conversation" BE carefull if you want to delete from "sent" or some "label" you have made, cause you delete NOT only the mail which is in "SENT" but also if you put it in X label, Gmail is very good, but this is a thing I don't like very much. So again, be carefull when you are going to erase some mail in order you don't have it in other folder, cause you erase all

you give them "labels". Then Gmail will save the labels just like yahoo saves folders. They will be in the bottom left hand corner. All you have to do is mark each email with what ever label and then press archive. The emails will then be distributed between the labels/folders
