I know some black people who are against having relationships with white people, italians who are against having relationships with non-italians, and anglosaxons against having a relationship with any foreign people. What is the reason for this? Also are you against mixed relationships?

Some people are just more comfortable with others who have a similar background to theirs. Some people are just more open to dating outside of their race. I am not against it since my ex happens to be Albanian and I am Latina. It doesn't necessarily a make a person racist...it's about just preference.

Because some of us would like to preserve our cultural identity for future generations.
Honestly I would think it would be a horrible world if there were no more people that were just Italian, Ukrainian, British, Japanese, etc.
Everyone would be the same and that would be boring.

I'm in a mixed relationship...I'm anglo, my boyfriend is black - I know a lot of strife we've overcome is just a lack of understanding on both sides. People are unwilling to drop their prejudices and get to know the person, not the race.
Until we can overcome that ignorance, we'll be stuck with prejudice.

They're against it because they are racist. Mixed relationships don't bother me. People are people and they should be with who ever they love.

I hate to say it but i am, just because if they have children, then they will be picked on by ignorant bigots. God, i hate racism, but thats just the way it is. I'm all for it if they dont have children.
