You know a widows peak is where your hairline v's , most people as far as i can tell there hairline does not do this. IS IT EVOLUTIONARY?

Not really, can you think of what a widows peak might be an adaption to? BUT it is natural selection. believe it or not, there is a tiny fragment in each of those people's DNA that contains messages that casuse the hair to grow like that.

Its like crossing plants. Some genes are not dominant, IE the widows peak gene. Some are. All this means is if you cross a dominant with a dominant, youll usually get the dominant. submissive with dominant= most likely dominant, but possible submissive. This is how they used to create seedless watermellons, by "breeding" the ones with less fruit.

Genetics. It's the same as asking why one has blue eyes while another has brown.

You only consider something to be "evolutionary" if it presents a survival advantage. As far as I know, those without widow peaks are not in any way better than those with.

I'm pretty sure the widows peak gene is dominant. Maybe people from a certain country have it a lot and that's where the gene got started. It's probably just a mutation, though, and it hasn't been naturally selected or not, like...it's just neutral.

IDK heredetity maybe, b/c my dad also has one.

I have it and always wonder why. No one in my families have one. I`m the only one as far as we know. maybe down a far line someone had .... i guess it would have skip a couple of generations....

Its genetic and can be passed down by your parents if one of them has it because its dominant.
