You want a good exercise? Dress up in your favorite outfit, do your hair and makeup, and stand in front of your mirror and say "I AM BEAUTIFUL" over and over again until you believe it! You're nowhere NEAR overweight!
Exercising and dieting at your age can set you up for trouble down the road. If you want, try to find a dietitian and get suggestions on how to eat healthy and maintain your weight!

At 5'8 and only 148 you are no where near overweight. I would say that you are at an ideal weight. If you feel like you're flabby or whatever just tone some not lose weight. You are growing and your weight is going to go up and down so don't worry so much about what the scales say and go by how you feel.

You're 5'8" and 148 pounds and think you're fat? The biggest diet concerns you have right now are not eating McDonald's for every meal. Maybe do some sit-ups and take a half hour walk every or every other day.
If you truly think you've developed an eating disorder, talk to you parents and/or a doctor.

Dude, you are not overweight. 148 for your height is very good. U have a BMI of 22.5 and normal ranges from 19-25. So you are dead in the middle. Do not try to loose weight, but if you want some excersices try some to make some muscles. It might me a good idea to talk to someone (school counselor) about your eating problem. Best of luck.

The most accurate way to tell if you are overweight is your belly fat. You can be light as a feather but if your belly sticks out too far, then you are probably still above the weight that you should be. For someone who is 14 and 5'8" your belly (measured around your belly button) should be no more than 36". If you are anything under that, you are fine.

Your weight is fine for your height.
Concentrate on toning now; don't worry about losing. Swimming is THE BEST overrall exercise, ALL the muscle groups are worked. PLUS, you can get a decent tan and show off that 6-pack next summer :)

my daughter is 5 ft. 8 inch and weighs 118 lbs. she was 148 lbs 6 months ago. She lost weight by dringing only water and cut back her food intake. A lot of meals she only eats a salid also she walks. Hope this helps also don't get discouraged you can't loose weight over night.

You are not overweight you might feel like it if all your friends are shorter then you of course they will weigh less then you. If you do want to excercise you have to eat right.
A good one is running stairs.
