since one brave soul revealed that he avoids other gay men...I will admit that since my friend broke my heart I have been reluctant to start a friendship for fear of the same thing again. I know it isnt right, but I am hurting.

I have no issue with gays and think one should just laugh the attention off, period. If it bothers you, go across the room and learn to be more comfortable next time.
What annoys me is what goes on at college. Everyone, including pro-lifers, environmentalists, radical feminists, ecoterrorists, religious fundamentalists, etc..wants to launch a political campaign at college. I am not against birth control information and issues like sexual harassment but do not want to see another listing of specialized classes, speeches, groups, campaigns or anything else.
Students have other issues like working, paying the bills, eating well, sleep, transportation, dorms, etc.
I can't find any classes for Latin or Hebrew, courses in comparative Western and Eastern religions, international history, real archaeology courses, painting, photography, research, exhibitions, archaeological excavations/field trips, but everybody's agenda is successful. I am tired of everyone's agenda, left or right. Not because of what they stand for but where they're standing for it at. Go somewhere else with your politics!
