Is there anyone who can help my friend out. He is accussed of assulat against his wife. This is a wrong aligation. But still He is put in jail in canada without any inquiry. Now He went there just 4 months back and He know nobody there personally. She wanted to go back to india for 3-5-8 months with his one month old daughter and he denied. He was worried that one month old baby should not fly for few months and there is vast temperature difference between india and canada. Now knowing this She left home first and tried to force him to sign up papers which says that he will never ask for the custody of his wife and his daughter and he is sorry for misbehaving with his wife. His wife threatned him and asked him to sign this paper or she will get him in the jail. She even told him that if u will not sign this she will remove all her clothes and will go on road and will tell all/police that he is not providing her any sort of cloths also and harressing her with all kind of means.

He objected on signing for the letter and in the mean time took the order from court so that she cant take the daugthter out of the state. On hearing this his wife said him now u see, and she pressed the charges and police arrested him. This all happened after she left home a week before. Whole week she tried to force him sign the letters, but he refused.
While in india also she has a history of leaving him for nealy 4 months saying I cant stay with your parents. Then also he tried to convice her that if we go to canada we will have to leave alone with no parents involved, and then also he took her to canada. Now this is what he has got for all his loving.

Now he being a person from low income group in canada, it is difficult for him to get a lawyer, till legeal aid provides one. Being a christmas time its hard to get them even. Now there is no one here who can bail him out from there. I dont know whom to approch for getting out of here ? If anyone knows whom I can approch or anyone can be his guarantor and sign up for his bail I would highly apperitiate the help. Also if someone knows what else i can do sitting here in india and what will happen if he dont get any lawyer and how case will proceed.

Unfortunately, you are not in a position to help your friend very much.
It is VERY important that your friend get a lawyer, even though judges do make great effort to help unrepresented persons in their courts. It is also important for his wife to get a lawyer too.
In addition to Legal Aid, community groups' legal clinics may help find a lawyer who has experience working with immigrant groups and practicing both criminal and family law.
Note: while you seem to think that the laws in Canada treat men unfairly, and privilege women in the eyes of the law, this is not true. In Canada, women have legal rights worth defending just as men do. The Charter of Rights and Freedoms, part of the Constitution of Canada, insists on this equality. In practice, this means that both men and women can manipulate the legal system to their advantage.
