Although both the 1st generation Firebird and 1st generation Camaro shared roughly the same body and some drivetrain components, the motors were unique to each make and not the same despite the fact that they both displaced 350 cubic inches.

The 69 Firebird with the 350, 4BBL in the Firebird 350 H.O. was rated at 325 HP.

The 69 Camaro with the 350, 4BBL in the SS350 was rated at only 300 HP.

Based only on this, the Firebird would be the quicker car, provided everything else was equal (weight, gear ratio, transmission, torque curve, etc...)

Depends on your gear ratios. What were their stock configurations? Are we talking top speed (faster) or quarter-mile / 0-60 times (quicker)?
But as a rough guess I'd say the Camaro by a minute margin because the Firebird was just a Camaro (both F-Body) with more options (more weight.) This is considering they were tested by the same driver with no mistakes/differences, in the same conditions, on identical tires.

if i recall the pontiac engine produced more hp and it deffinatly produced more torque. (pontiac engine is not a small block) that would be a great race assuming they had the same trans and rear end. I would have to say the Pontiac since i'm a pontiac guy not a chevy guy. and i really don't like camaros.

uncertain, yet in basic terms so which you already know, RS is in basic terms an visual allure equipment, so as that would have not have been given something to do with overall performance so no choose for for you to have RS/SS on there, you're turning out to be an RS that's the backside style camaro with the RS visual allure equipment, and then the RS/Z28 and of path the RS/SS

If you have 2 cars with a 350 and a 4 barrel carburetor, I believe it would depend on who was the best driver, perhaps the camero would corner better
