There are various schemes and grants encouraging businesses to relocate to other parts of the UK. These can include tax incentives funded by the government and the European Union.

Many cities and regions are very pro-active in encouraging businesses to relocate out of London. Large companies that have moved out of central London include 3M, Tetrapak and London Electricity call centres. There are many cost savings including lower commercial rental costs.
