McDonald has great benefits and there is room to move to the top and eventually own your own store. I have been told they will help you with your education.

There is no job that fits that bill. You will have to work up the ladder. If you are as good a worker as you say then you will get there quicker then most but you are in for a long haul. If you can get a type of apprenticeship, where someone who believes in you teaches you his trade, that would be helpful. Trade schools are awesome. However, while you're working, I suggest going to a local junior college. Since you didn't like it too much take it slow, a class or 2 at a time. Before you know it you'll have a degree and that will help your pay range tremendously. If not now, in the future. A person with a degree gets paid more then the person without the degree regardless of his ability. Yes, it sucks but school does pay.

Drop back in to college, and get a job at the school. Once you see that a college is actually a business, it changes your entire outlook towards education. And a college degree is still worth an average of $1 million more in pay during your lifetime.

What is the best job you can get straight out of highschool?
Since you are interested into business, you can get a sales job in the mall, earn some life experience. Then decide again of what you want to do.

Go back to college. The competition is fierce, and if you're competing with college and university grads, you will either need to be lucky enough to start a successful business of your own (and don't kid yourself -- the vast majority of new businesses fail within 5 years), or look for a low-skill job like McD's.
Seriously... finish college. You won't regret it in the end, and you'll probably regret NOT finishing it for the rest of your life.

You will have to look at more physically demanding jobs like warehouse, construction, etc to make that kind of money. Kids out of high school with no real education and no real experience in a field, just don't make $11-12 out of high school.

Your best bet if you're not going to college is to go into some sort of manufacturing job. Some of my family members have worked at such places for most of their lives, but they enjoy it because of the benefits and the ease of the work... it becomes routine after awhile.

Get into Wal-Marts management training program. Another possibility would be a temp to hire job at the US Postal service. They have temp positions that could get you on full time, then you could work yourself up to supervision and management.
Good luck.

Check with the local job search agencies. They will be able to match your experience, qualifications versus jobs that are available.

It sure as hell ain't at a department store! I worked at one for two years and several different positions, and never made more than $7.80/hr. Then I started at Pepsi at $9.50. I should've done it sooner.
