Just keep trying to practice in the mirror. Put it as close to your lashline as possible. Don't make it too thick though! Or you can pull the corner of your eye and keep it closed like that too!!!

Dont pull your eye towards your ear because when u open ur eye its guna come out with the eyeliner to high or not above the eyelash. Barely close your eye then start from the inside of your eye with the liner(liquid is best) and make a straght line outlining your eye where your lashes are and when your get to the end of your eye open your eye all the way and finish it.If it comes out light in some areas go over it again till you like it.Good Luck!

first u have to teach urself to keep ur eye-lids closed for coupla minutes, which u have said u cudnt do....tht could be achieved thro practice and will, and once u r able to hold it close as much as u need (one eye opened and the other closed , so tht u can look in the mirror n apply the liner all by urself), u can strt applying it...first the upper lid and then keep the eyes closed for ,some minutes until the liquid dries(sit beneath a running fan),then work on the next upper eyelid, let tht one dry too, then move to the lower lids.this wud help it from getting smeared on to the area below the eyebrows.

What i do and it seems to work is i slightly pull back on the skin next to my eye near my ear and make sure the eye has no eyeshadow on it so the eyeline comes out right. Then i start with the side where my nose is and draw the line.

If you are using a pencil, a good 'beginners step' is to just do dots on your lash line, then take a liner brush, and try to 'connect the dots'. Make sure your pencil is soft, cuz if it drags your skin, it will look messy! You can do this by holding it to the back of your hand for a few seconds.

I always wear liquid liner, and everyone says that's hard to do, but it' seasier for me, and it always looks good. I just pull out the corner of my eye to keep it straight, then try really, really hard not to blink. that usually works. Also, I don't put it on in one continuous motion. I put a little on at a time, starting in the middle of my eye and going towards the edge.

i have the same problem what i do is sharpen the pencil the stump it with a tissue then apply and fix it with a q-tip youre problem is that you need to relax your eyelid this really works whatever you do dont use liquid very hard to apply you need a very steady hand.

Close your eye (the one that you are applying the eyeliner to) and then stretch your eye (or pull it back) with your finger and apply really close to the eyelashes.

Make dashed lines and go over a second time connecting the lines, this should be easier.

I used to be like you. You just apply it as best you can, then smudge over it with a Q-tip or other utensile untill it looks even.
