It could be that you don't have enough Random Access Memory (also known as RAM), and your computer can't keep up with the amount of RAM it needs to run the program correctly. My laptop used to do that sometimes, but I don't use it for Internet use anymore, and since then, that problem has cleared its-self up. You might want to try defragmenting your computer, cleaning the hard drive of spyware and adware and getting your computer's RAM upgraded, if you can.

If you have an older computer it could be one of three things: CPU, RAM, or Video Card
It can also be a codec problem, try using a different player and if it's the same problem it's most likely a codec.
