I would have been home on time, but my friend suggested we should spend another couple of hours studying and since I knew it would be of benefit to me I thought you wouldn't mind.

My friend tripped on rock and was knocked unconcious, she ended up at the hospital and I had to sit with her till she was checked out.

I was at the old people home as they were having a group sing a long and they were enjoying my company so much that I just couldn't upset them by leaving.

I was busy picking out your christmas present and I wanted to get it just right so that is why I am late.

The nightclub I was at had a bomb scare and I was helping the police with interviews. They trust my judgement.

My friends parents have been mean to her about getting home late and she was threatening to run away and live on the streets. I spent the whole night trying to talk her out of it. So I am sorry I am late. You don't mind do you?

You were walking down the street on your way home when suddenly a car drove by and ran over a mouse right before your very eyes. You caught the license plate of the speedy, cold-hearted driver of the big yellow Volkswagen Bug, then proceeded to call 911. While waiting for the mousebulance, you then spent the next half hour giving Mouth-to-Mouse resuscitation.

Why do you desire an excuse? I even have never been a huge drinker, and whilst i'm everywhere that alcohol is being served and that i do no longer desire any I basically properly say, "No, thank you i don't sense like having any alcohol immediately, this night...regardless of." i'm so properly properly-known for it that folk be attentive to that they are in a position to matter on me to be a delegated driving force whilst mandatory. it somewhat is especially extraordinary that i be attentive to I took some human beings appropriate domicile that could have injury themselves or others after eating too lots. you could say a similar element once you're provided pot or pills or something you do no longer desire to handle or take part in. i all started asserting that as quickly as i all started attending events in 10th grade and persisted precise via college and properly into adulthood and previous. you're your own individual, could make your own judgements for your self, and whilst you're frightened approximately others choosing on you or forcing you to drink, i think that they would not somewhat be your individuals, could they??? stay sturdy, stand on your own 2 ft and say no. sturdy success and function a chuffed and relaxing New 12 months.

Haha I'm 18 and legal, so my parents don't mind when I come home late (although they're always a little worried, they still *are* my parents!)

Although when I was 16-17, I'd just call my parents sometime during the night, tell them the usual "everything's ok and I'm not alone" and they would usually let me come home pretty late :p

count your blessings because when I was a teen I was grounded 1 day for every 5 minutes I was late...I wouldn't even attempt to lie just tell them you were having fun being selfish and should have called.
